How To Survive #Disney With A Baby

Traveling with a baby can be stressful but if you plan ahead and pack accordingly you will survive!

  1. Pack pack pack ALL of the baby must have's that your baby needs on a daily basis. This includes the obvious, binky, blanket, favorite teether, diapers, wipes and of course a change of clothes in case of an accident.

     2.  Be prepared to take an afternoon break each day to keep baby out of the heat and Florida sun.

     3.  Bring sunscreen and a hat for baby to prevent sunburn.

     4.  Bring a comfortable stroller for baby to ride in around the parks, I suggest a stroller with a sun canopy and a stroller that has a lot of storage underneath. I highly recommend renting from Kingdom Strollers.

    5.  Bring a backpack so that when you park your stroller you can have one parent wear the backpack and avoid leaving important items in the stroller unattended.

    6.  Don't try to ride every ride. There are some great rides for young children and babies, check out my top 10 rides for babies and toddlers at Magic Kingdom. Pace yourself and remember it's all about having fun.

   7.  Your baby won't remember meeting the characters or riding the rides, try to just relax and enjoy the moment. Take plenty of pictures and avoid overdoing it.

   8.  Hand sanitizer! Don't forget to bring hand sanitizer. Many first timer's complain that their children picked up a stomach bug at WDW, but then I ask, did you have hand sanitizer? Did you use it after EACH ride? Kids put their hands in their mouth, especially babies! To avoid picking up unwanted germs remember hand washing and hand sanitizer is key.

   9.  Avoid trying to make advanced dining reservations at restaurants that are not 'kid friendly'. The last thing you want to do is have a tired, cranky screaming baby at Le Cellier for example. Make dining reservations at a loud family friendly restaurant such as O'hana, Chef Mickey's or Rain Forest CafĂ©.

   10.  Buy a few memorable must have's from before your vacation. I really love to see these adorable mouse ears on little one's.

All About The #Cinderella breakfast at 1900 Park Fare At #Disney

We had dinner at the Grand Floridian's 1900 Park Fare on our Magic Kingdom day. We found it quite convenient to simply hop on the monorail from the park. It is nice to check out the beautiful lobby and shops at the Grand Floridian also. Be sure to allow some extra time! We had dinner reservations for 6 pm. When I checked in with the hostess and let them know we were there she said it would be a 5 minute wait. We waited in the lobby and after about 15 minutes I went back and asked how much longer it would be. Luckily I asked on the status because the hostess had seated someone else in our place! Apparently another family shared our same last name and had a similar time for their reservation.

Once we were seated Prince Charming immediately came to our table to say hi and pose for some pictures. The step sisters and the evil step mother made their way around the room also. The step sisters were really quite entertaining, arguing with each other and being very loud. They really played the part! The food at 1900 Park Fare was wonderful. I felt like we really got our money's worth on this buffet ($38 per adult and $19 per child). There is a salad bar stocked full of fresh fruits, rolls, salad, strawberry soup and eve California sushi rolls. The carving station served beef and pork loin. The 'hot line' was our favorite and consisted of Guiness beef stew, salmon, chicken marsala, vegetables, shrimp, soups, etc. Be sure to try to the strawberry soup. It is so amazing and a must! My children really enjoyed the children's section of the buffet, it had pizza, chicken, elbow pasta and many fresh fruits and vegetables. The dessert buffet section was stocked full of yummy treats including gummy bears, brownies, cookies, pudding, etc.

Prince Charming stopped by our table to say hi

The step sisters were quite entertaining

Complimentary birthday cupcake (my little princess had her 1st BBB makeover experience this day at Magic Kingdom)

Overall I would highly recommend 1900 Park Fare character dinner. The experience was priceless and the food was surprisingly wonderful. I am not a big fan of buffet's but this one was so well laid out and had a wide variety of great options.

Great Day Trips From #Orlando #Disney

Many people visit Orlando Florida each year for their families vacation. After going to the theme parks it is always fun to take a few days 'off' from the parks and just relax by the pool. I am going to share with you some great day trips for the whole family. Just a few hours drive from Orlando or even less and you can be at one of Florida's beautiful beaches such as Cocoa Beach, FloridaCocoa Beach is often referred to as the "Disney Beach" because it is just a short drive from Orlando. Also, Disney Cruises depart from the port at Port Canaveral which is nearby to Cocoa Beach.

Another great day trip from Orlando is St. Augustine, Florida. It is a two hour drive from Orlando Florida but totally worth the drive. My family visited St. Augustine, Florida last year and we absolutely loved it! There is a lot of fun stuff to see and do, especially for children. My children loved the Pirate Museum and exploring the fort Castillo De San Marcos. Castillo De San Marcos fort is awesome and we spent about two hours exploring everything, watching the re enactments and they even have working cannon's! The admission prices are just $7 for adults and children under 16 years old are free.

St. Augustine offers so much to do, you can take a guided tour on a horse drawn carriage

For more information on things to do in St. Augustine visit this great website

Another fun day trip would be to visit LegoLand Florida. My children loved Legoland Florida. We spent the whole day there and wished that we had more time to visit for two days. It is about a 45 minute drive from Orlando. Be sure to read my review on Legoland Florida

Another great day trip from Orlando is the Kennedy Space Center located in Cape Canaveral Florida. Ticket prices vary. There are several tours offered and you can even have lunch with an astronaut for just $29.99 per adult!

How To Jump Start 2018

Image result for free 2018 image

I can't believe it is already 2018!! I want to wish everyone a healthy and happy new year! Today I am going to share with ya'll some great tips on how to jump start 2018 and make it the best year yet. At the beginning of each year I always make sure to have an up to date calendar and a new planner.

Erin Condren has some of the best planners I've seen! Perfect for the stay at home Mom or the working Mom. There are so many great options on the website. You can build your own life planner which is pretty cool. The Life Planners are $55. I really love the fun covers, especially this one:

Besides having a 2018 planner I also recommend that you create a space for all of your children's papers that they bring home daily in their folders/backpacks. I really love the idea of a corner drop zone complete with cubbies for your kids shoes and hooks for their backpacks. You could also create a family command center similar to this:

There are tons of great idea's on Pinterest for an easy diy command center. You can make a small one on the side of your refrigerator if you don't have a dedicated space in your home. Or you could use the mud room or even the hall way as your command center.

Check out my Pinterest board for ways to create your own family command center.

After you have your planner and command center set up the next thing I recommend is for you to sit down and create a document with all of the things you'd like to do in the new year. The list can include renovations you'd like to do on your house, or maybe bills you'd like to pay off, or places you would like to visit.

Print a copy of your list and hang it somewhere that you will see it daily for a reminder to stay focused so that you can meet your goals.
