Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is going to be here before you know it! This year the party starts even earlier....in August! I am going to share with you some great tips on beating the crowds and making the most of your visit.

DIY Alert! You can create your own Mickey pumpkin before you leave for your magical vacation! Just use toothpicks (or a nail) to attach the mini pumpkins to the big pumpkin. Purchase vinyl for the eyes, nose and mouse!

*Tips*

The cheapest party dates are the first 3 Tuesdays in September. Tickets are just $75 for adults and kids ages 10+. Tickets are $70/kids ages 3-9.  This would make the total cost for a family of 5 just $383.41 VS paying for a party in October when the rates increase to $99/adult and $90/kids ages 3-9 totaling $511.21 for a family of 5. The savings is a difference of $128. Now if you attend the party in mid October on a Friday night that will cost $109/adult and $104/kid totaling $564.46 making Friday night parties in October the priciest time to attend the party!

Attending the party in September means the park is not as crowded because school has just started back for most of the East Coast. I highly recommend attending the party on one of the first 3 Tuesdays in September. If you absolutely can not attend in September I would recommend attending the party on a Tuesday in October.

Friday night parties tend to be the busiest because of the locals who choose to attend the parks on the weekends.

The party starts at 7 pm but guests with a party ticket may enter the park at 4:00 pm. Be sure to get in line just before 4:00 so you can go through baggage check and be at the entrance at 4:00. Be sure to grab a park map with the trick or treating locations. Bring your own bag so your little one's can get lots of candy! They do give out complimentary treat bags also if you forgot one.

Don't waste precious party time with a sit down dinner. Pack a cooler with food or visit a quick service in the park to save time. Make a game plan so that you can make the most of your time at the party.

Expected Show Times for Key Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2018 Entertainment:
  • Mickey's "Boo-To-You" Halloween Parade - 9:15 p.m., 11:15 p.m.
  • Happy HalloWishes Fireworks - 10:15 p.m.
  • Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular - 8:15 p.m., 10:45 p.m., 12 a.m.
  • Cadaver Dan's - 7:15 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:50 p.m., 9:55 p.m., 10:50 p.m

I recommend attending the 2nd parade at 11:15 pm, this will be much less easier to find a good seat and much less crowded. During the 1st parade at 9:15 pm plan to take advantage of the rides and meeting characters. Most people attend the 1st parade so you will have very minimal wait time for the rides and characters.
