Disney's Animal Kingdom Dining Tips

Just a few days ago you probably read my Animal Kingdom Tips and review of our very first visit to Animal Kingdom. Well, today I am going to share with you some reviews and tips on the dining at Disney's Animal Kingdom. There are so many great options to choose from ranging from quick service choices to sit down restaurants at Animal Kingdom.

If you are looking for a super fun character dining experience then I would highly recommend breakfast at Tusker House. Join Donald Duck in his adorable safari gear for an all you can eat breakfast buffet. The price for adults is $29 and children ages 3 and up are $15.99. Tusker House offers a wide range of delicious foods including the ever popular jamba juice.

Animal Kingdom has a wonderful Rainforest Cafe which is a really nice spot to relax in the air conditioning and enjoy great food, if you have time for a sit down restaurant. If not, I would recommend grabbing a quick meal at Pizzafari (my children loved the pizza here) or Flame Tree BBQ. My children are very picky and did not like the kids meal options at Flame Tree BBQ so what we did was my husband went and got them pizza kids meals from Pizzafari and I ordered my husband and I bbq from Flame Tree BBQ. We ate outside near the water at a really nice shaded seating area beside Flame Tree BBQ.

If you are really pressed for time and not super hungry or maybe on a diet, etc. I would recommend the kiosk located at the Harambe Market. There are some great options of fresh fruits, yogurts, veggies, wraps and even Mickey pretzels.

Mickey pretzels make a great afternoon snack!

We absolutely loved the Dawa Bar located near the Harambe Market!! It was so nice to relax with a nice refreshing drink and listen to the live music. Also they offer a happy hour and drinks are half off!! I loved the "Lost on Safari" drink which was a yummy mixture of Captain Morgan and Pangani Punch.

Overall, Animal Kingdom has many nice restaurants in many different price ranges for everyone. If you are looking for a nice sit down experience I'd recommend Yak and Yeti or Rainforest Cafe. Be sure to save room for the yummy snacks available at the various kiosks. My children really love the classic Mickey Ice Cream Bar.
