All About My #Springbreak In #Hawaii

Spring Break is coming soon and I'm super excited because this year my family is going to Hawaii! I'm going to share with ya'll some must see attractions in Oahu. After our vacation I will post a full review on each of the activities listed below. Be sure you are following me on Instagram because I will be posting lots of photos & going live at many of the attractions below.

1. Pearl Harbor This historic site offers free tickets to tour the U.S.S Arizona Memorial. They have over 1,300 free tickets released every morning at 7 am, but the tickets are first come first serve. They often run out by 9 or 10 am. We decided to secure tickets online for $1/each. You can reserve tickets ahead of time here

2. Honolulu Zoo The Honolulu Zoo is located between the slopes of Diamond Head and Waikiki at the corner of Kapahulu Avenue and Kalakaua Avenue and is open 9:00 am to 4:30 pm daily. Admission is $19/adult and $11 for children ages 3-12. Military members receive a discounted rate.

3. Kualoa Ranch This 4,000 acre ranch is not only beautiful but it is home to famous movies such as Jurassic Park and the tv show Lost was filmed here!  Kualoa Ranch offers many activities to choose from including a Jungle Jeep tour, ATV tour, secret beach tour and more! I am SO excited about our tour to see scenes from the movie Jurassic Park & my favorite tv show Lost.

4. Waikiki Aquarium Discover the beautiful fish and sea creatures that live in the waters of Hawaii.

5. The Bishop Museum A wonderful place to visit and learn all about the history of Hawaii. Educational, fun and exciting lava demonstration! Plus a planetarium with daily 25 minute movies $2.95/each.

6. Dole Plantation Pineapples galore! Kids will love the Dole Plantation's Pineapple Express Train. Parents will enjoy the garden tour. Be sure to save room for a sweet treat, the dole whip! There is a free pineapple cutting demo and a fish feeding pond. Plus a huge pineapple maze too!

7. Polynesian Cultural Center Travel through time as you experience thousands of years, north of culture from six different island nations. The Polynesian Villages are open 12-6 daily. Play ancient games, sample poi, watch a cultural presentation, paddle a canoe, etc. Be sure to save time to visit the nightly Luau. Fun for both parents and kids. Super educational too!

Top 5 Tips For Visiting Disney On Spring Break

Welcome to those of you joining me from I Am A Disney Nerd and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 2nd stop on our Magical Blogorail.

Spring break is such a busy time at Disney World. Ride wait times can be longer than usual and you may be surprised by how hot Florida can be in April. I am going to share with you the top 5 tips for visiting during spring break. Be sure to purchase your park tickets ahead of time. This will save you a lot of time and you can simply bypass the ticket line and go directly to the gates to enter the park. You can purchase tickets directly on the Disney website. Many first timer's do not realize the importance of arriving to the park when it first opens. I always recommend arriving at or even before the rope drop. This will allow you to have a head start to your first ride of choice :) Always have a game plan.

  1. Purchase park tickets ahead of time
  2. Arrive at the theme park at rope drop
  3. Pack plenty of snacks and lunch to avoid waiting in long food lines
  4. Make your ADR's (advanced dining reservations) ahead of time
  5. Take a mid afternoon break to avoid the heat
Don't try to do everything in one day. Pace yourself, enjoy the moment and take time to see the details, take some photos too.

My kids favorite activity on vacation was visiting the pools at the resort

Take time to relax and enjoy a leisure train ride at Magic Kingdom, you'd be surprised, kids enjoy the little things too :)
