My family recently visited
Legoland Florida for the first time. Legoland is located about 40 minutes from Orlando and the drive is a very easy one. There is a shuttle available for those that do not have a car. The shuttle picks up at the Orlando Premium Outlets at Vineland Avenue at 9:00 am daily. Be sure to arrive 30 minutes prior. Reservations are required by 11:30 am the day before. The cost of the shuttle service is just $5 per person.
Tickets to Legoland are available online at their
website for a discounted rate of $69 per adult and $62 for ages 3-12 also if you pick the date ahead of time you can save $15.
Strollers are available for rent $10 for single and $15 for double. For more information visit their
website.
Parking is $14
When you enter the park you will immediately see the huge two story Grand Carousel!
If you are celebrating a birthday be sure to stop by guest services and ask for a complimentary button
Our first ride of the day was the super cute Safari Trek-this is a great ride for all ages.
Kids can drive their jeep through the Lego themed safari
Loved seeing the animals all made from Lego's. Be aware rides may get a little wet on the safari
Be sure to visit the Ford Jr Driving School (ages 3-5) or the Ford Driving School (ages 6-13). This is located in the back of the park and it does get busy. Children who participate at the Ford Driving School will receive an official Legoland driver's license.
My son loved being able to drive his own Lego car at the Ford Jr Driving School
Kids get to experience intersections, stop signs, traffic jams at the Ford Driving School
Ford Driving School is a MUST
Lego characters are available for meetngreet's throughout the theme park
Be sure to head to the new World of Chima and ride the action packed Quest for CHI. Riders are able to fire water canons at bystanders and other riders on passing boats. Be warned you will get wet on this ride! Luckily there are dryer booths located outside of the ride ($2 fee).
Duplo Valley was not yet open when I visited a few weeks ago, however, it is now OPEN! I look forward to visiting this area next time. Children will LOVE Duplo Valley. This area of the park is really geared towards the younger crowd. There is a super cute Duplo Farm, Duplo Train, Duplo Tractor, Duplo Splash & Play area and a Duplo Tot Spot.
If you want to cool off and let your little one play head to the Toddler Play Room. Located directly to the left of the Duplo Valley entrance you will see this adorable play area.
What a fun, bright play area! Kids can enjoy the air conditioning, play and build with Lego's and relax
The Play Room is such a nice addition for parents and children
The Baby Care Center is located beside the Toddler Play Room
Parents can feed their babies in a private area complete with a comfortable rocking chair, privacy curtain and even a mini rocking chair for siblings.
The Baby Care Center offers high chairs, a microwave and refrigerator for food storage and a sink
Parents are able to leave their milk, snacks, etc. for their children in the refrigerator
The Kingdom is an awesome area for children of all ages complete with a huge climbing net that children will love!
The Royal Joust is a fun ride located in Lego Kingdoms. Children must be 36" to ride.
Overall I would highly recommend a visit to Legoland Florida! My children absolutely loved it! I rode several awesome roller coasters with my 7 year old. The park is not just geared towards younger children. I went there thinking that it was but I quickly learned there is a TON of attractions for older children too. The park is beautiful, flowers and tree's everywhere. We did not have time to visit Cypress Gardens but I hope to next time. If you can, allow two days to visit Legoland Florida to allow enough time to enjoy each ride, show and restaurants. Stay tuned for a review on the yummy lunch we had at Legoland.
