Our "Lego" Christmas

Christmas Eve we sprinkled reindeer food on our lawn, left some delicious cookies out for Santa and were in bed by 10 pm. Usually Mom & Dad are up past midnight putting everything together, but this year was so nice and relaxing. The kids wanted Lego's and there was nothing to put together!! Score!

My 4 year old is a big time Sofia The First fan, she asked Santa for the Lego Duplo Sofia set

My 6 year old son asked Santa for the Lego City helicopter set

My 8 year old was really hoping for the Lego Friends horse stable and the Lego Friends books

Christmas morning I made the kids m&m pancakes after they checked out their goodies from Santa. Then we opened presents after breakfast. We like to space it out so they don't unwrap everything in 30 minutes. I let each child open a present then watch the others open their gifts.

The day after Christmas we had "Christmas Round 2" with my husbands family. We had a marinated pork tenderloin with potatoes and I made my first bundt cake.

Our kids were sad to see the Elf go back to the North Pole but they had a blast finding him each morning. I think their favorite day was when our Elf was in the Barbie Dreamhouse having a date with Elsa.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and I wish you all a happy New Year!!

Busch Gardens Christmastown Review

Twas The Night is an amazing ice skating show that takes place each evening at 5:30, 7:30 and 9:30 pm It is a MUST see show! My kids said it was their favorite show at Busch Gardens Christmastown. Be sure to get there 20-30 minutes before show times to get a great seat. Tip-don't sit too close to the stage or you won't be able to see the special fireworks at the end.

Santa's Workshop gets very busy, we headed there immediately once the park opened at 2:45. Tip-you can enter Busch Gardens at 2:00 but they do not open up anything except England. To get to Santa's workshop I would suggest waiting at the rope drop near the entrance to Italy so that once it is 2:45 you can head to Santa's Workshop to avoid a long wait time.

We purchased the Santa photo's which were a 6x8 size and cost $24 for two photos

There are 3 character meet n greet's at Busch Gardens Christmastown-Penguins, Santa and Frosty the Snowman The Penguin meet n greet is located near Trappers Smokehouse. They have the cutest penguin stuffed animals for sale here too.

Frosty The Snowman meet n greet is located near the Peppermint Twist (near Roman Rapids area)

At night the park really looks amazing! There are lights galore and be sure to take a ride on the Choo Choo Train at night so you can see the whole park.

The Clidesdale horses are available for photo's in England

The Polar Parkway is absolutely breathtaking! This is Escape From Pompei decorated with tons and tons of beautiful lights.

This was one of my favorite Christmas Tree's at Christmastown! So beautiful!

Busch Gardens Christmastown tickets cost $30 per person and I would recommend purchasing online to save time. There are many wonderful shows, my kids loved Twas The Night (ice skating show) and Scrooge (located inside in England). We also saw Gloria (indoor) which is located in Ireland. This tells the story of the birth of Jesus and is mostly singing. Jingle Bells is a really fun, kid friendly show located inside at Octoberfest. We brought our kids dinner in a soft sided cooler and let them eat during the show inside at Octoberfest. We purchased dinner from the buffet and ate during the show too. I love how Busch Gardens allows people to bring food and drinks in to the park. This really helps save money!

Overall, I would highly recommend visiting Christmastown! It was a lot of fun. My kids were sad that the Sesame Street Forest of Fun was closed. They love that area. However, there are lots of kiddie rides open, the airplanes, bumper cars, balloon ride, peppermint twist, tea cups, train, sky ride, etc.

Christmas Is More Than Presents

As we begin to decorate for the quickly approaching holidays I want to remind everyone that Christmas is more than just presents. Spend quality time creating memories with your children that they will remember much longer than the presents under the tree. My children love looking at Christmas lights. We go at least once a week and check out neighborhood lights. Another fun holiday tradition for my family is when we bake cookies. Start a new holiday tradition by teaching your children the joy of giving to others. Donate your older coats that no longer fit to a local homeless shelter. Donate toys to a local church nursery or Goodwill. This year I am going to give my children the opportunity to choose a charity of their choice (from the one's listed below) and each child will get to personally pick their favorite charity to send a holiday donation to.

Remember Christmas is more than presents

From my family to yours wishing you a Merry Christmas

Below are some of the many wonderful charities you could donate a holiday gift to (or even volunteer your time):

Love Cooking Company Mrs. Fields Bakeware Review

Love Cooking Company has set out with a mission to make baking a simple task. Partnered with some great names in the baking and entertainment industries, Love has crafted bakeware that helps you easily achieve the best-looking baked goods on the table, from filled cakes to bite-size desserts and more.

Mrs. Fields baking products are perfect for your holiday entertaining

I really love the cutie cake pan. It is a great way to make a large amount of sweets in one tray! The cutie cake pan will create 48 mini cakes, perfect for little fingers (preschool parties, birthday parties, holiday dessert, entertaining, etc. the options are endless).

As you can see, my first time baking in the cutie cakes pan I added way too much cake batter and they turned out super sized :) But my kids didn't have any problem enjoying every single one!! Ha

The cutie cakes turned out fabulous!

Mrs. Fields cutie cake pan is amazing. It is not only perfect for bite size snacks but these make a great treat for any celebration. You can bake brownies, cupcakes and even mini muffins in the cutie cake pan.

Another awesome product that Mrs. Fields makes is the Fill N Flip cake pan. This makes baking a breeze! The Fill N Flip cake pan turns a regular cake into an impressive "WOW" cake. You can add apple, strawberry, pudding, etc. to the 'filling' once you bake your cake. This is just so unique and a baker's dream come true. I really love the Fill N Flip cake pan. Cleanup is easy too because the Fill N Flip is dishwasher safe!

Fill N Flip makes baking a breeze

My Readers receive 10% off your entire order - Love Cooking is inviting you to take 10% off your entire order on lovecookingcompany.com with the promo code LOVE10. For a limited time only.

*I received these items for free however the review is my honest opinion*
