All About Our Day At Disney's Hollywood Studios #Disney

We recently took a 7 night Disney World vacation!! We stayed at
We rented a two bedroom condo that had a beautiful view of the lake and a swimming pool. The condo had a full kitchen with oven, microwave, full size refrigerator and dishwasher! The condo also had a washer/dryer which was great. Today I'm going to share with ya'll our day at Hollywood Studios.

Due to Covid the theme parks have had their hours reduced. Currently Hollywood Studios is open from 9 am to 7 pm, however to minimize crowds forming at security at the entrance Disney has been allowing guests to enter the park as early as 8:00 am. We arrived around 8:15 am. We were able to park super close to the entrance. We went through the temperature check and then the bag check. Sidenote: Disney does not allow any masks that are gaiter style masks or any mask that has a outside filter attachment. Once inside the park we headed directly to Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. The first ride we rode was the Star War's: Millinneum Falcon: Smugglers Run. The wait time was about 45 minutes. Sadly we were unable to secure passes for the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. These become available at 7 am on the dot on the Disney Parks app. I was literally on the app at 6:55 am and I was still unable to secure passes. They do release more passes at 1:00 pm for guests that are in the park. We did not try to get the passes again. After the Star War's section my kids wanted to go to Toy Story Land which is directly beside Star Wars Galaxy Edge.

We did happen to catch a few cavalcade's. We saw the Incredibles and Sully while we were eating. Side note: We brought a soft sided cooler with lunch and drinks.  Speaking of eating, you can only take your mask off in designated area's to eat or drink. You may not eat or drink in lines. Disney is really good about keeping guests 6 ft apart while waiting in lines for the rides. They have place markers on the ground.

After riding Toy Story Mania (20 minute wait), Slinky Dog Dash (45 minute wait) and the Alien Swirling Saucers (10 minute wait) we took some photos and headed to Echo Lake to ride Star Tours. My kids loved loved loved Slinky Dog Dash!! This was their favorite ride of the day. We picked up a snack at Marketplace Snacks Booth which has DOLE WHIPS!! We opted for the classic Mickey ice cream bar $6 each!

After a nice snack we headed to Sunset Boulevard to ride the Tower of Terror. My kids loved this ride!! The wait time was about 30 minutes. Next up we rode Rock N Roller Coaster. The wait time was only about 25 minutes in the late afternoon. My kids loved this so much that they begged to ride it again. So we rode it again HAHA. Then we went to Lightening McQueen's Racing Academy to cool off in the air conditioning. This is a great place to go when it is super hot outside. This is a cute 20 minute indoor show featuring a talking Lightening McQueen. Then my youngest daughter and I rode the new Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. The wait time pretty much all day was 60 minutes but around 5:45 we noticed the wait time had dropped to 25 minutes so we headed there. This is such a cute ride, be sure to make time for it!! I'd recommend the later afternoon.

We discovered that if you are in line for an attraction 5 minutes prior to the park closing that they will allow you to stay and ride the ride. Also, the shops stay open after park closing. So at 7 pm even though attractions were no longer accepting riders in their lines we were still able to go in the shops on Sunset Boulevard.

Overall, we had a great day at Hollywood Studio's! We were able to ride everything that we had hoped to ride except for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. I highly recommend arriving at the parks at least 30 minutes before they officially open.

All About #Disney Springs Sprinkles Cupcake ATM

I visited the adorable Sprinkles cupcake ATM at Disney Springs this week!! This is a must if you are a fan of delicious cupcakes!! Sprinkles is located in the Town Center section of Disney Springs just over the bridge near The Landing. Be sure to watch the video below to see how simple and easy it is to order a cupcake from the Cupcake ATM. I would recommend parking in the orange parking garage so you are closer.

Sprinkles is open from 10 am to 10 pm The ATM is open 24/7

The Cupcake ATM is located outside to the right

Cupcake flavors vary and the later in the day you visit the ATM the less choices there are remaining.

This delicious sprinkle cupcake was $5.50
If you want to try more flavors I would recommend going inside Sprinkles and purchasing the mini cupcake sampler for $8

Kid Friendly Workout Routines & How To Get Your Kids To Eat Healthy

My children have started to show interest in working out with me at home. I am so excited about this! I'm going to share with you some tips and easy ways to get your kids to eat healthier!

I have found some really great workout videos on YouTube that are perfect for the whole family to do together. We usually spend about 30 minutes doing a family workout video together in the morning after breakfast. After the workout video my kids rotate doing yoga and walking on my treadmill. I will list the videos below:

Tip: Check Facebook marketplace and Craigs List if you want to purchase workout equipment. I also was able to find a used treadmill on Facebook marketplace for only $125! You can find a lot of workout equipment on Facebook marketplace. I also went to Target and I picked up some 5 lb weights and some yoga equipment. I bought a yoga mat and some yoga blocks at Five Below. Tip: be sure to go over safety first with your kids and use caution with weights that may be too heavy for them.

I have been trying to get my kids to eat healthier. I found a great Food Pyramid video on YouTube and I shared this with my kids. After watching the video my kids were a little surprised to see just how many servings of fruits and vegetables they should be eating daily. We visited the grocery store and I had each child pick out 3 new fruits and 3 new vegetables that they would like to try. This is a great way to encourage trying new things and healthy eating!

Planning Your Next Vacation: During A Pandemic

Did you take a family vacation during 2020? Unfortunately many families had their travel plans cancelled due to covid-19. Our family had a Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean booked for May 2020. That was sadly cancelled. We were so excited and looking forward to our cruise. What a bummer!! We did make other plans to vacation in Florida in summer 2020 but ultimately ended up cancelling those plans as well due to high covid cases. In the end we decided on renting a beach house in the Outer Banks for a week.

Today I am going to share with you some tips and idea's for planning your next vacation during a pandemic. I feel that 2021 is going to be a much better year than 2020. Hopefully by summer 2021 majority of the population will have received the covid-19 vaccine. I feel that by summer 2021 flying will be much safer. So if you have a destination that requires flying don't worry.

Start by making a list of the top 5 places you would like to vacation. Do some research on these 5 destinations. I really like to learn about destinations on You can determine if there are a lot of activities and attractions that your whole family will enjoy. You can also read reviews on accommodations, restaurants, attractions, etc. After doing some research try to narrow down your top 5 places to just 3. Then take some time and price out these 3. You could also contact our travel agent Allison with and ask her to run some quotes. Once you have the prices you can sit down with your significant other and decide which vacation would be best for your family.

Things To Consider When Planning A Vacation During A Pandemic:
  • Are a lot of the activities outside activities? If so, this is definitely a plus if you are concerned about covid.
  • Would you stay in a high rise which would require you to use an elevator?
  • Would you have to fly or drive?
  • Does the resort have enhanced cleaning procedures?
  • Are all activities open at the resort? Some resorts have closed certain activities due to covid-19
  • Is there a kitchen in your condo? This would allow you to cook your own meals and avoid restaurants and help to save money too.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
  • Is a covid test required?

No Spend January Challenge

Can you believe it is almost January!!! Hopefully 2021 will be a much better year than 2020! Today I am going to share with ya'll a great way to save some extra money during the month of January! The idea is to practice saving and making better spending choices that will help you throughout the entire year. A no spend January challenge is meant to help you save money and avoid making unnecessary purchases.

  1. Only spend money on your absolute must have's such as weekly groceries, prescriptions, pet food, gas
  2. Buy the bare minimum groceries (no splurging)
  3. No eating out, ordering take out or delivery
  4. No purchasing things that are not groceries, prescriptions, pet food, gas (No shopping!!)
  5. Pay your monthly bills but pay the minimum for any credit cards
  6. Save Save Save!!
*Now there are some exceptions to this no spend January challenge* For example if your child has a birthday in January, obviously please celebrate your child's birthday and spend money on their birthday presents, cake, etc. Another exception would be if your child is invited to a friend's birthday. Obviously purchase the friend a birthday present.

Other Great Ways To Save Money All Year Long:

  • Start setting aside $10 to $20 per week for your future Christmas fund. You could set up a free savings account linked to your checking account. This way you could transfer the money each week or each paycheck.

  • Sit down with your spouse and review all of your monthly subscriptions. Decide if there are any that you can cancel.

  • Turn down your heat by 1 to 2 degrees. You'd be surprised at how much money you could save by doing this!

  • Take a good look in your pantry, toss expired items, organize your pantry to really get a good idea of what you are in need of. I have caught myself purchasing items at the grocery store that I thought I needed only to discover I already had it buried in my pantry!

  • Start meal planning each week. This has really helped me to save money on my weekly groceries. I sit down every Sunday evening (or Monday morning if I am procrastinating) and I make a list of what meals I am going to cook for the week. I write it all out so my children can see what is on the "menu" and I put it on our refrigerator. I try to stick to the "menu" and this also helps me to not overspend at the grocery store.

My Favorite #Christmas Cookie #Recipes + Free #Printable

These Oreo truffles are SO easy to make and super delicious! Perfect for the holidays.
36 Oreo cookies
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 package cream cheese (softened)
1 cup dark chocolate melting wafers
1 cup white chocolate melting wafers

Place Oreo's in a food processor. Blend 2-3 minutes. Set aside. Save 2 tablespoons for later.
In a separate mixing bowl beat cream cheese. Add Oreo's to the cream cheese and vanilla extract. Mix.
Scoop Oreo mixture into 1 tablespoon size balls and place on a lined cookie sheet.
Place cookie sheet with Oreo balls in the freezer to chill for 15 minutes.
Place dark chocolate melting wafers in a microwave safe container to melt. Repeat for white chocolate melting wafers.
Retrieve Oreo balls from the freezer and dip truffles into the melted chocolate. Sprinkle with Oreo crumbs that you saved.
Allow chocolate to harden. Tip-place Oreo balls in the refrigerator for 5 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden faster.

Andes Mint Cookies

1 package Devils Food Cake
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
1 bag Andes Chocolate Mints

Preheat oven to 350. In a mixer combine cake mix, oil and eggs. Mix until combined. Drop by level tablespoon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or Silpat mat. Bake for 8-9 minutes, remove from oven and immediately place an Andes mint on top. Let sit for 5 minutes and gently swirl the mint just enough to spread it out. Cool in refrigerator until set. Makes approximately 36 cookies.

My little helper enjoyed making this recipe almost as much as she enjoyed eating it! This is such an easy recipe ya'll! You can bake the M&M cookie bars in a 8x8 casserole dish OR you can use a 9 inch pie plate if you want to make a cookie cake instead.
